The only exception is Thessalonica for Microsoft Word 95 (which is no longer supported, but still available for download, since there are some people who still use it). This version is also free and also distributed without any warranty, but GNU GPL is not applicable to it, becase I've frozen its developement while it was in process of redesigning, and so no sources corresponding to the current stable version are available.

Although Thessalonica is now implemented in Java, older versions written in Python are still available for download and I am not planning to remove them, since they may be of some interest at least for PyUNO programmers. So, if you are still using one of these older versions (1.0a or 1.1), you should be aware of the following compatibility issues:
if you are running OpenOffice.org 1.1.0 (especially under Windows), you will not be able to use Thessalonica 1.0 until you update your pythonloader.py file. The correct version of the file may be downloaded here; after downloading the archive you should unpack it into the program directory in the location where your OpenOffice.org shared files are installed, replacing the existing version of the pythonloader.py file. This update is no longer needed with OpenOffice.org 1.1.1 and above;
Thessalonica 1.0 requires OpenOffice.org 1.1.0, while Thessalonica 1.1 requires at least OpenOffice.org 1.1.1 and will function incorrectly with older versions. This situation is described on this page. Now the problem is fixed, and so OpenOffice.org 1.1.2 should be compatible with both the Python based versions of Thessalonica.
